Pathogenic / Pathogenic Cancerous target planner

Cancerous target planner

Place your occupied slots and choose the Cancerous source. The planner finds the closest eligible organelle in the same category and shows what a successful conversion would change.

Occupied slots

Use any consistent coordinate scale. X increases right; Y increases down. A mirror refers to its primary slot. The selected source must have Cancerous.

What happens when a room ends?

  1. Each primary Cancerous organelle rolls once, with a 15% chance. Secondary mirror slots do not roll separately.
  2. On success, it picks the nearest different organelle of the same category: movement, other external organs, mitochondria, or other internal organs.
  3. The source, its mirror, identical organelles, already Cancerous organelles and Chemoreceptor Antenna cannot be targets.
  4. The target becomes the source organelle, keeps its own base rarity and inherits compatible traits from both. Excitable cannot pass onto an organelle that does not support it. A mirror target converts its primary slot and both sides.
  5. Cancerous transfers off the source and its mirror. If there is no eligible target, a successful roll still removes Cancerous.

Position and timing matter

Connections do not determine the target. The game compares squared distance between the organs’ actual positions when the room finishes. This layout is a planning preview; soft-body motion can change those positions. Equal distances follow the game’s slot iteration order, represented here by the row order.

For several Cancerous sources, rolls are processed sequentially and an earlier conversion can change later eligibility. This planner previews one source against the current layout, rather than simulating all room-clear outcomes.
